Why an LMS for Equal Arts?

Equal Arts built its course on a learning management system (LMS) because the people it serves need learning they can fit around an unpredictable working life.

Flexible for freelance careers. Performing arts professionals move between projects, cities and tours. An online platform lets them learn in short lessons, in their own time, from anywhere.

Structure and proof of learning. The LMS holds the three units, lessons, quizzes and the Certificate in Performing Arts Leadership in one place. Learners can track their progress and finish with a certificate that supports their professional development.

Multilingual access. With 33 lessons and 21 videos in English, Spanish and Italian, one platform lets learners from 8 nationalities study in the language they’re most comfortable with.

Consistent, scalable delivery. Once built, the course reaches any number of learners without extra cost. That suits a sector with limited training budgets, and 68 learners enrolled during the project.

Lasting impact. Because the course lives online at equalarts.eu, it stays free and open after the funding ended on 30 September 2026. The playbooks and Digital Portfolio sit alongside it, so learners can move from personal learning to practical tools for their organisations.

Evidence for the project. An LMS also gives the project data, such as enrolments, nationalities and completion, which helps show the results to funders and partners.
